Collections Officer- Main Branch

Purpose: The Collections Officer is responsible for the control of delinquency on credit card and loan accounts by contacting members to determine the reason for the past condition and make satisfactory arrangements and/or offer solutions to help resolve the delinquency. Optimization of collection results while balancing the goodwill of members with the overall business interests of the credit union is the ultimate goal.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Utilizing our core values of Integrity, Innovative, Passionate, Proactive, Adaptive, and Respectful, along with our Mission and Vision statements, perform the following duties to maximize results.
• Monitor delinquent status of assigned credit card and loan accounts and make consistent contact efforts to resolve delinquency utilizing all available information and resources.
• Document all collection efforts using credit union systems and follow up with members as needed.
• Maintain accurate information for collection files including but not limited to: repossession logs, bankruptcy files, charge off lists, possible legal action accounts, etc.
• File any necessary paperwork for bankruptcy, legal actions, insurance claims, etc.
• Dispose of collateral by coordinating transportation, addressing mechanical and cosmetic issues, reviewing auction activity, processing, and filing insurance claims for damage and recovery of fees, etc.
• Maintain working knowledge of various software and systems used in the collection process.
• Comply with credit union policies and procedures as well as all federal laws and regulations.
• Educate and train other credit union staff to assist with collection results.
• Monitor, contact and assist with the resolution of negative share accounts in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
• Other duties related to essential job functions to meet organizational needs.

Expectations:

The successful candidate will have experience in reading, researching, and must be competent and knowledgeable of operational policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and experience in financial services and collections operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable consumer laws and government regulations.

Experience:

This position requires two to five years of banking or related experience.

Education:

A high school education or GED. Complete Employee Training.

Full-Time Financial Services Representative Position

The Focus Federal Credit Union/Tri-City Branch 

Position Summary:

This position requires great interaction, communication, and organizational skills supporting Teller, Financial Services, Lending, and Call Center operations. To provide members with the highest form of service and financial transactions accurately, efficiently, and professionally. Explain, promote and sell various products and services to members by accurately assessing member needs while providing them with information about Credit Union products and services. Responsible for performing member services and loan processing responsibilities, assisting with the call center and phone queue; adhering to credit union policies and procedures: Will maintain a high-level knowledge of our financial service products. Greeting the member by name during interaction and thanking the member for their business after the transaction is completed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists members with opening and closing accounts and servicing existing accounts. Answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor along with their recommendations.
2. Determine collateral needs and payment plans for members applying for loans.
3. Processes member loan applications in person, electronically, and/or over the phone, building accurate member profiles in accordance with established policy and procedures.
4. Disburse loan proceeds after approval by underwriting and complete loan documents.
5. Maintain a high level of knowledge of credit union financial service policies and procedures for lending and member service.
6. Provide member service via phone calls or in the call center.
7. Cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs.
8. Ensure that all credit union member-and-employee-related business is kept in the strictest confidence.
9. To apply knowledge of credit union systems, policies, and procedures. Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to
Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
10. Other duties related to essential job functions to meet organizational needs.

Branch Manager Job Posting                                                                                                    

Tri-City Branch Location in Newcastle, Oklahoma

Hours Monday – Friday and One Saturday a month, half-day.

Salary Range:  $45k to $50k plus performance bonus/incentive

Role: 

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales and service professionals to meet and exceed sales goals and service targets. Directly work with members to uncover and satisfy their financial needs.  Ensure the operational excellence of the branch and maintain the highest level of member service. “Lead from the Lobby,” by greeting members, directing them to the appropriate areas of the branch, and ensuring that the member’s needs are met. Cross-sell products and services to members and manage overall aspects of running an efficient and productive branch. Create new business through outbound calling and visits in the surrounding market of the branch.

Essential Functions                                                               

  1. Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintaining effective employee relations.
  2. Implement and monitor the budget for the branch.
  3. Apply knowledge of credit union systems and comply with policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration, the Bank Secrecy Act, and other regulatory agencies.
  4. Conduct loan interviews and prepares and/or reviews loan documents for completeness and accuracy and forwards loan applications to underwriting for the loan decision.
  5. Evaluate the job performance of branch office staff to ensure the quality of work and service to members.
  6. Monitor branch activity, including the number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personnel sales, and new accounts.
  7. Monitor key products and sales within the branch to ensure profitable and sound business practices and high quality of service for members.
  8. Manage the security and safety of the branch. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
  9. Ensure that staff receives ongoing training on security and robbery procedures.
  10. Schedule adequate staff to ensure efficient branch operation.
  11. Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
  12. Assist staff members in solving complex account problems.
  13. Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.  Previous Financial Institution experience and/or general knowledge of Member Service and Loan Function is a plus.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Other Skills: Candidates must have an established history of successfully leading a team of sales professionals in a financial institution or retail sales environment.  This position requires a minimum of 2-5 years of financial services experience.  Strong sales, analytical, leadership and coaching skills are required.  Candidates must have the ability to generate significant branch revenue, provide exceptional member service, maximize sales opportunities and increase member retention.  Continually improve banking center performance, operational excellence, and associate proficiency.  Delight customers and exceed satisfaction goals.  Create workforce stability by cultivating an engaged, spirited and well coached team.  Drive sales to meet and exceed sales targets.  May be required to work weekends and/or extended hours and regular, reliable attendance is critical.
